Guía Epicúreo was a popular online community and iOS application catering to foodies, restaurant goers and culinary fans in Latin America’s biggest market, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The service ran from 2008 – 2011 and in that time became a popular online destination for locals and tourist alike, capturing the #1 travel app ranking on the Apple iOS App store for Latin America.

In addition to negotiating strategic partnerships with: La Nacion, Canal5 and, Taxi Premium, Mercury developed the customer experience strategy as well as the product design and development of the digital properties to support the project.

Mercury developed an API connection to the call center of the largest taxi service in Buenos Aires. From within the iOS application, Guía Epicúreo users could send a cab to their location and be spirited away to their chosen destination.

 

A COMPLETE ECOSYSTEM

The entire customer journey was designed and refined over several years of testing and iterative improvements.

The final product was a robust online community and app ecosystem with over 5,000 restaurant​ and bar listings, tens of thousands of reviews and ratings, and integrations with numerous strategic partners resulting in a robust digital brand experience for the users.
